Kovault is a browser-based playlist manager. This page explains what data it stores and when information is sent to another service.

Data stored in your browser

Kovault stores your playlists and groups in this browser's local storage. This includes playlist names and descriptions, scenarios, play counts, notes, published-playlist details for imported public playlists, and up to 10 prior versions of each playlist. Kovault also stores cached scenario authors and leaderboard-entry counts separately in local storage. This data stays in the browser on the device you use; it is not synced to a Kovault account or automatically transferred to Kovault's servers.

Your local data remains in that browser unless you export it or choose to share it. Clearing browser storage, using a different browser or device, or other browser data removal may make it unavailable. Keep an export if you want a separate backup.

Playlist exports and library backups are generated in your browser and downloaded to a location you choose. They are not sent to Kovault's servers. A backup includes your playlists and groups, including imported public playlists; it does not include cached scenario metadata, playlist history, group colors, or custom order. Any information in a file you later share is subject to the recipient's data practices.

KovaaK's service requests

When you search for scenarios or public playlists, or use other features that request KovaaK's data, your browser sends those requests directly to KovaaK's service. KovaaK's may receive information such as your IP address and the request or search details. Imported public-playlist information is kept in your local library unless you choose to share or export it. KovaaK's handles information it receives under its own data practices; Kovault does not control how KovaaK's processes or retains it.
